Hi there Blender folks, D.J. here from Subsurface Talks.

Here goes another episode of our Blender and 3d artist-friendly podcast:

This time I talk with my colleague Daniel Nees who works for CG Boost as a community manager helping folks to learn and enjoy Blender.
But as every true superhero - Daniel has a secret identity!
(not so much but some of it is actually under NDA)
He is a compositing artist working for Rising Sun Pictures in Australia, and he has a suuuper impressive portfolio including working for some huge titles like: 'Star Wars: Andor' 'Thor Love and Thunder' 'Capitain Marvel' and 'Rings of Power'.

While compositing seems like black magic to many 3d artists (not to mention ordinary people) and compositors (not to confuse with composers!) do not get the most spotlight and fame, they are the ones that allow for that perfect blend of CGI and real world footage. If you are curious about how it's done and how do one gets a job like that or if you just want to listen to some funny stories about Australia, Wombats and what links The Bee Gees and AC/DC go ahead ! Listen to the episode and share it with a friend if you like it.

Happy listening and happy blending !
D.J.
