This is the second part of my short series modelling a windmill in the north of England, following on from the previous post describing the use of arrays to make the sails.
There are two videos for part 2. In the first I show a way to use reference images added as children objects to the Camera then how the focal length can be found by trial and error while the Camera is positioned using walk navigation (SHIFT ` then WASD keys)
The second video builds out the meshes for the windmill by switching between reference images. The Camera location needs to be further adjusted in an iterative process as the mesh starts to match the shapes in the references images more closely.
The final part of this series will cover unwrapping the UV map for the windmill then how to use perspective UV maps to allow cloning from the reference images to the material textures.
