Blender 2.41 is out! And if you thought that this was 'just' a bugfix release (2.40 was released only one month ago) then well, think again. Both the Game Engine and the core toolset have been thourougly improved.
Improvements to the Game Engine: programmable vertex and pixel shaders, usage of Blender materials, split screen mode, improvements to the physics engine and more. The core tools have also been improved with subsurface aware UV mapping and unwrapping, set chaining and one that I particularly want to try out: inclusion of the mesh sculpting Python script. The full releaselogs are available on Blender.org
A big kudos to everyone involved!
Now, go grab your copy but please be gentle on the Blender.org server: please don't choose the NL location. And don't forget the game engine demos; you can find them under (God knows why) 'Regression files' on the download page. There are some pretty neat game engine demos in that file.

I'm still dying for a 2.41 version to run on my iBook, OS X 10.2. This must be difficult, because I've asked in several forums without any luck.
Thanks to any recuer who may be out there,
Pam
Hi Pam,
I think that nobody develops for OS X 10.2 anymore. If I were you, I'd try to get a cheap copy of Panther or ebay and upgrade by ibook. You'll probably run into similar problems with other applications..
