Gianluca "kino" Faletti Passed Away

It it with great sadness that we have to share that Gianluca Falette, a cornerstone of the Italian Blender Community has passed away yesterday. We wish all the strength in the world to his family and friends.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

    My condolences to his family and friends. I did not know him, but he had to be smart to know the in's and out's of Blender.

    Ooh God! That is super sad! :_(( A big loss for sure!

    He was a super nice person! I met him in Blender Conference 2005... A beautiful light emanated from him.

    He will be missed!
