Allan Brito writes:

After a lengthy review process for one of the highest-rated books from Blender 3D Architect, we are proud to announce an update to our "Blender for parametric modeling" book. The title is now available as a downloadable PDF. The contents work with both Blender 2.9 and 2.83 LTS.

What do you learn from the book? The main objective is to explain with several examples of how you can add custom properties to 3D models in Blender, which allows you to make parametrical controls. That is possible when you use a combination of:

  • Drivers
  • Shape keys
  • Python expressions

The book explains the entire setup process of making and adding those controls to models such as chairs and staircases. For a detailed list of chapters and content, you can visit the details page.

Besides the PDF file with 324 pages, you can also download all companion Blender files to follow each chapter.
