The Cyberpunk Apartment is my first successful motion tracking attempt in blender.
How was this done?
I recorded the greenscreen plate with an iPhone 12 Pro in 4K. Resolution, Depth of Field and lighting conditions need to be good and consistent. More importantly, this was the first project were I used my own tracking markers. Simple circular cut-outs from black paper with white paint gave me a phenomenal tracking result for the first time ever. You can see them on the greenscreen in the recorded footage.
In order to save time, I bought the base model of the apartment beforehand to fully focus on tracking and roto work. I still needed to push and add a lot of geometry but didn't wanted to get too distracted with building the world. Because there is something more important than that.
The Lighting
Getting the lighting of the 3D composition to match the lighting conditions of the greenscreen plate is easily one of the hardest things to do. You need to plan ahead and think about the placement and brightness of your lights in the scene. This is arguably the hardest part and I'm still learning how to get better results with different lighting setups. Please look up my other greenscreen projects posts if you're curious!
Here's the visual Breakdown:

I've had a green screen in my Amazon cart for a while now, might have to take the plunge after seeing this
