Jemima Wyman is an Australian contemporary artist who lives and works between Brisbane and Los Angeles. Her practice works across various mediums including installation, video, performance, photography and painting.
Jemima has exhibited throughout Australia and Internationally. Exhibition venues in Australia include the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (Melbourne), Canberra Contemporary Art Space, Museum of Contemporary Art (Sydney), Monash University Gallery (Melbourne) and Plimsoll Gallery (Hobart).
Recent solo exhibitions include Whak’emall at 507Rose (Los Angeles), No Nonsense: Great Shapes at The Block (Brisbane) and More Jungle than Paradise at the IMA Satellite venue in the TCB Building (Brisbane). Recent two person exhibitions include Too Check Effect at 40000 in Chicago and Twofold at Westbeth Gallery Kozuka in Nagoya, Japan.
In 2007, Wyman graduated with a MFA from California Institute of Arts in Los Angeles with the support of the Anne and Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship and she is currently working towards two solo exhibitions the first at Miliani Gallery in October and the second at Steve Turner Gallery in Los Angeles for November.
