HYOJIN KWON + CHRISTINA CHO
temporary Installation [Rice Cake Mafia]

RICE CAKE MAFIA is a collaborative syndicate between Interior Architect HyoJin Kwon, and Architect Christina Na-Heon Cho. They are both currently serving life sentences in Architecture- Hyojin at Populous and Christina at Cox Rayner.

Recently released on parole, the duo conspired with fellow Rice Cake Mafia from Seoul and London, to infiltrate Tokyo Designer's Week run by DEZEEN and The Design Association. There, they orchestrated a plan to transform a shipping container into an installation, trapping unsuspecting observers into an experiential space of distorted reality. They have confessed to stimulating minds, and involvement in changing public perceptions of their urban environments. They are still under investigation for conspiracy: Hyojin for her selection in 2011 Archiprix at M.I.T and win of the SPACE International Competition; and Christina for her win of the American Institute of Architecture Student Design Prize, and organisation of PechaKucha Night Brisbane.
