Create to Educate is a youth art competition, empowering Queensland’s young artists to use their talents to address extreme poverty. It combines the communicative power of art with the transformative power of education in developing countries. Young artists are invited to reflect on the theme “room to read”, and submit an original design using any medium. Entries are submitted using our custom online portal. The winners in each of three categories will be selected to have their artwork on display in White Canvas Gallery for a week in November, as well as receiving tickets to attend the gala function on 6 November. All proceeds from the competition and gala evening go to support the work of Room to Read, an international not for profit that is impacting the lives of millions of children in the developing world.
