Amber was born and grew up in Bowral, NSW.

In 2001 she graduated from North Adelaide School of Art with major studies in painting and life drawing. Settling on the Sunshine Coast for several years saw her attend The Cooloola Sunshine Institute of Tafe where she won the graduating prize and her work was acquired by the institute. She participated in several group and solo exhibitions, where Brisbane interest saw her relocate to the city.

This last year has seen Amber return to her practice after travelling, living and forging a secondary career in visual merchandising.

Amber is drawn to the quiet, the haunted, the hidden and the contemplative - to her these things are beauty; transcendent and timeless. “I am driven by the light and dark, fascinated by the grey. I am the optimist, the dreamer, yet ever the realist.

My work is life - contrast, text and texture, line. I aspire for it to be limitless, without definition and imperfect.”
