Dario is a contemporary artist and producer working across visual, performance and conceptual art. Dedicated to creating public art projects that transcend form and expectation, he has been creating original ‘new genre’ art works since leaving the 5 Angry Men and starting WELL in 1999.
Dario created the ongoing large-scale interactive installation - Great Wall of Books in 2004 - a ten-year project.
In 2007/8, Dario led well through a 3-month residency with the project in Macau SAR, China, followed by a season in Melbourne.
Dario was artist in residence at Bains::Connective in Brussels, Belgium in November 2007. His work there was intimate, process driven and audience oriented; creating live art environments and experiences for one person at a time.
Having directed, created or collaborated on many contemporary art and performance projects Dario is currently directing a viral-dance multiplication (live and online) work; producing a new work for Next Wave Festival and is an associate producer with Aphids.
Dario is a member of numerous boards and committees, including Head Quarters - a curated lab for cross-disciplinary arts practice and is a panel member for Arts Victoria’s Community Partnerships Program.
