Kitty Horton is a Brisbane based artist. In 2006 she graduated TAFE with a Diploma in Visual Arts and moved on to working as a professional artist. She has been exhibiting in Brisbane for 6 years and is now exhibiting in various galleries in Sydney and Melbourne. Her chosen medium is painting with acrylic on wood. She also creates diorama boxes which she displays at Artisan and is occasionally involved with public art and installation.

Kitty’s artwork is based around her personal studies and experiences. She explores imagery such as male historical figures, the Gatsby era, beat poets, Japanese culture, semiotics and her obsession with vintage medical objects. Most of her paintings are portraits. She likes to explore her curiosity of personality traits, hidden agendas and coincidences. Kitty is currently working in her Greenslopes house studio full time.
