Philip Follent recently took on the role of Queensland Government Architect in 2008, having formerly been Gold Coast City Architect for four years. In 2007, he was awarded a Life Fellowship by the Australian Institute of Architects. He is well-known for his passion and commitment to environmentally sustainable development, advocating principles of sub-tropical urban design.
Philip has begun to travelling extensively throughout Queensland to demonstrate a whole-of-government commitment to achieving design excellence not only in our main cities, but also in urban and regional areas.
