Luisa Rossitto is an emerging visual artist. Her watercolour on paper based practice uses a growing iconography to form compromises between grand themes of human existence and the absurdity of our inconsequence. Luisa graduated from the Queensland College of Art in 2002, where she received the Langer Memorial Prize for Painting and the Fine Arts Bachelors Medal. Luisa has since exhibited at the Institute of Modern Art, Linden Contemporary Arts and Milani Gallery.

In 2008 she was selected for the NBC Capital - Metro Arts Scholarship. Her culminating exhibition Show/hide will show at Metro Arts Galleries 19th November - 6th December 2008. Show/hide represents the distillation of a large amount of collected imagery into works exploring themes of disguise and doom.
